These Mouthwatering Toffifee Cookies are a simple recipe ready for birthday parties, holiday celebrations and everyday cookie jars. Toffifee are candies made of a caramel shell, a hazelnut, nougat, and a chocolate drop on top.

Ingredients

Dough:

  • 2 large eggs or 3 medium eggs
  • 1 cup (250 g) softened butter
  • 3 1/2 cups (450 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cups (150 g) cornstarch
  • 1 1/4 cups (150 g) powdered sugar
  • 2 packets vanilla sugar
  • 1 heaping teaspoon baking powder

Additionally:

  • About 25 Toffifee candies
  • 7 oz (200 g) milk chocolate

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, and baking powder. Add the eggs and softened butter, and knead everything together until you have a compact cookie dough. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill it in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  2. Form the dough into 25 balls, flatten them, wrap them around the Toffifee candies, and reshape them into balls. Place them spaced apart on 2 baking sheets lined with parchment paper, and bake at 170°C (340°F) in a preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Let them cool completely.
  3. Once cooled, dip the cookies in melted chocolate. Enjoy the deliciousness!
